Katharine McPhee is an American pop singer who achieved fame after appearing as a contest on the reality TV show American Idol in 2006, in which she was the runner-up. She has gone on to record three studio albums. She also joined over 75 other musicians for the We Are The World 25 for Haiti, a 25th anniversary re-recording of We Are The World; proceeds from the single go to relief efforts for recovery from the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
Let Your Heart Sing is from the soundtrack album from the Disney movie Tinker Bell. In it, McPhee sings that you should always follow your heart, because its voice tells you who you really are. It celebrates all the beauty that exists in everything around us, reminding the listener that there are always great things to come.
Notes for Parents: This song is suitable for all ages; although it was written for a children's movie, the lyrics and ideas are interesting enough that older girls will also enjoy it. The video is fan-made and sets the song to the image from the soundtrack cover.
