Ten year old Bessie Higgenbottom is the world’s most ambitious Honeybee scout. As a member of the Honeybees, Bessie wears her uniform every day, leads her troop with heart and determination and has earned more Bee badges than any Honeybee in history, but there are still a few badges that elude her and she’s not stopping until she earns every last one of them! When Bessie needs inspiration, she imagines she's The Mighty B, a brave (and buff) superhero who can accomplish anything.
To be a Bee, or to be the Bee: that is the question. But not for Bessie Higgenbottom. This Determined, Imaginative, and compassionate gal just wants to grow up to be a hero (of the super kind). and for this dedicated member of honeybee troop #828, that means becoming the Mighty Bee!
In this buzzworthy collection of 8 hilarious episodes (We Got the Bee, So Happy Together, Sweet Sixteenth, Bee My Baby, Bee Afraid, Artificial Unintelligence, Bat Mitzvah Crashers, and Super Secret Weakness), get stung by the the laughing bee while you catch Bessie rockin' out, Goin' overboard on the party circuit, bravin the great outdoors, and more.
A Nickelodeon series created by Saturday Night Live's Amy Poehler, The Fairly Oddparents' Cynthia True, and SpongeBob Square Pants' Eric Wiese, Mighty B! is a fast-paced animated comedy about over-achiever Bessie Higgenbottom, a 9-3/4 year-old misfit who's enthusiastically taking on the world to earn the most Honeybee Scout badges she can in hopes of becoming the imaginary superhero "Mighty B." Bessie is surrounded by a wide variety of fellow Honeybee members and friends like the popular Portia, who's got an overabundance of attitude, Portia's second-in-command Gwen, the slow-witted Penny, a worshipping little brother Ben, an imaginary finger-friend, and her rescue-dog Happy.
Bessie muddles her way through everything from joining a rock band to babysitting, rescuing and training a dog, campaigning for a ban against zucchini, camping out in the wilderness, and creating an intelligent robot for the science fair. Somehow, Bessie never quite realizes that she's an oddball whom the other kids are often laughing at which, of course, makes her every predicament that much funnier. What Bessie generally discovers as a result of her crazy adventures is that she really can do anything she puts her mind to and, while she may never ever earn enough badges to become the elusive Mighty B, perhaps Bessie is already a superhero in her own right. Bonus features include a 3-1/2 minute "meet the creators and cast" segment, a picture-in-picture comparison of the storyboards and finished episode "Bat Mitzvah Crashers," and a karaoke music video of "Running With the Rainbow Unicorn."
