The Perfectly Perfect Wish

In the grass, a girl finds an extraordinary thing that gives her... just... one... wish. "I found a wish in the grass," she tells Susan, her bus driver. "Think hard, then. It will need to be a perfectly perfect wish." She asks her those around her what they would wish for in her shoes, but nothing seems quite right — and in any case, wishing for her personal dreams, like a trip to Japan or blue ribbon at a horse show, seems too small. What will her perfect wish be?

In this pitch-perfect picture book, Lisa Mantchev takes the concept of a magic wish and uses it to explore real world empathy, kindness, and good will. The soft illustrations depict everything in black and white — except for the wish, and, when she decides to wish for everyone's wishes to come true, the many fulfilled wishes bringing joy in her community.
