After their release from a "concentration" camp, Yuki and her family try to reconstruct their lives. But everything is different: her father's business is gone, Yuki's brother has returned from war with an injury, and even Yuki's friend, Emi, doesn't want to do thing with her any more. Even though the war is over, suspicion against the family still runs high, and prejudice seems to be everywhere.
Even though the road to rebuilding their lives seems endless, in the end, it is their unyielding faith and courage that guides them home, reunited and hopeful.
