Priscilla has a knack for finding the best and prettiest things. And she can't get rid of any of them! She loves them all too much. But when she's invited to a couple of birthday parties, she knows she has to bring gifts... and she can't decide what to give away. "I can’t give away any of these things," she moans. And even when she does pick her least favorite things to give away, she wants to take them back when she sees how much her friends like them. When she decides to skip the next party rather than give something away, though, Priscilla realizes she has a problem. She comes to realize that happiness is about more than just accumulating things, and chooses to value her friendships and relationships with others over her belongings.
With a story that will make young pack rats giggle — and a note for parents and caregivers about how to help kids cut down clutter and how to recognize the difference between collecting and concerning childhood hoarding behaviors — this is a charming look at the importance of valuing people over stuff.
