Sometimes Love

"Changes come and changes go. Love through changes makes love grow." When her mother is deployed overseas, a young girl has to move along with her — and she has to leave her beloved dog with a service that cares for pets of serving soldiers. She's confused, angry, and sad, but she does make friends in her new home. But when she comes home, will the dog and the girl recognize one another? Of course they will!

Told in spare yet lyrical verse, this picture book shares a powerful message about the different ways we show love, from giving, to growing together, to sometimes letting go.
