When 17-year-old Autumn thinks she's pregnant, she turns to the pregnancy crisis center in her Pennsylvania hometown — who show her an anti-abortion video and giver her information about adoption. Desperate to end her pregnancy, but unable to get one in her home state without parental consent, Autumn even attempts inducing a miscarriage by swallowing pills and punching herself in the stomach. When that doesn't work, she confides in her cousin Skylar, who is determined to get her to an abortion clinic in New York City — even if it means stealing from her work.
The journey is difficult in every way, from their rapidly dwindling funds to Autumn's painful revelation that her partners have been physically and sexually abusive. But with Skylar by her side, Autumn may be able to find a path to peace... at least for now. This unflinching and painfully real film received critical acclaim for its intimate and empathetic look at the ugly realities behind the abortion debate.
